Beneficiary entities

SMEs and large companies with at least one work center in Castilla y León (large companies only for projects in collaboration with at least two regional SMEs).

Eligible projects

• Individual R&D projects , submitted by a single small or medium-sized enterprise (SME).

• Collaborative R&D projects submitted by a consortium of at least three entities and a maximum of five companies of any size, at least two of which are SMEs.

Eligible costs and expenses

Research and Development (R&D) projects related to cybersecurity, supported by any complementary technology, will be considered eligible for funding, such as:

• Advanced Cryptography: Encryption protocols, digital signatures, blockchain.

• Artificial Intelligence (AI) and Machine Learning: For threat detection, analysis of anomalous behavior, and response automation.

• Cloud Technologies: Securing Cloud Infrastructure and Services.

• Big Data and Predictive Analytics: For identifying patterns in large volumes of data related to security threats.

• Virtualization technologies: Securing virtual environments and containers, and any others such as 5G and 6G.

Eligible expenses

• Personnel expenses.

• Costs of acquiring hardware or software.

• External collaborations.

• Expenses for managing the aid file (external managing entity).

• Expenses for the preparation of a mandatory final financial audit report.

Financing

The non-repayable grant will be determined as a fixed percentage ranging from a minimum of 70% to a maximum of 80% for SMEs and from 50% to 60% for large companies.
